Everton Agree Fee With Man Utd For Lukaku

i agree that we don't want to keep selling our best players, but juventus are massive and they sold pogba etc. It's a near world record fee and progress doesn't always mean keeping your best players. we will now have gained nealry £150m from selling stones and lukaku. It doesn't matter to me how much money moshiri has, the fact of the matter is that those two players were worth nowhere near that amount to us, despite being our two most talented players. If either got injured, they were useless, but we can re-invest that money into buying 4 or 5 top class players who will improve us on the whole. And we'd be seriously unlucky if all of them got injured too.

This lukaku deal has been brilliant for us, make no bones about it. Not going to pretend, like some on here, that he's bad, i've always focused on the positives he brought to us as opposed to the negatives, but we will be stronger after his sale and a much more competitive team imo. I believe it will actually see us go to the bigger away grounds and stand more of a chance too tbh.

You are right Dave. The deal is a good one but i am surprised that we would allow it to be completed without a deal in place for the replacement as we will now be taken to the cleaners. If Rooney and Sandro are the replacements it is going to be a long season.

There has been a lot of good work done but the timing of this deal and bringing back Rooney are the first mistakes

BK might think this is the romance of the highest order.

Massive respect to lukaku. He moved from Chelsea taking what everyone would perceive to be a step down in order to improve himself. Didn't jump ship at the first opportunity. Was certainly our most effective player in his time here. Imo he is the best striker we've had in ages. Didn't run his contract down, hence we are getting a decent fee for him. Wasn't nearly as disrespectful as some are saying.. Now's going to play champions league. Thanks for the goals rom. Good luck with your career.

Eh? A ball hasn't even been kicked yet and the window doesn't shut for ages. What do you mean?

How do people on here or in fact anywhere know for a FACT that we haven't got people lined up. The negativity is quite astounding at times. Should we tell every man and his dog our plans and allow clubs to come in and gazump us. Shaking my head to much at the moment with all the wums on here. Personally I trust moshiri and koeman so ffs people chill and smile. Good day

Christ lads, the window is barely open. Stop the wetting and let the people who know stuff about football do their jobs.

United fans get one of the three best strikers in the league for less than the money they'd have seen spent on Morata, who would take a season or so to find his feet here.

We currently have Sandro.

Don't forget Dominic Calvert Lewin too. Oh and your favourite headless chicken Bolasie.

25 years of being utterly pathetic at transfer dealings/general business have left some deep scars - It's going to take more than a couple of quickly completed transfers and tweets from a stadium designer to heal those wounds

Rom always said he knew which club he'd be going too.

I wonder if he really did or that was just a front? If true I wonder if it was Chelsea he felt he was going too, or whether United all along.

Probably never know!
I think he knew it was United, his best mate is there, Pogba has had alot to do with his decision.

We don't but we can only comment on the evidence avaible to us and right now there are no really solid links suggesting we are close to securing a big money striker.

I am extremely pleased on the whole by what we have done so far

Let him turn you and explode towards goal, he is a £100m player. Mark him tight and refuse to let him turn and he is a £1m player. Who showed the rest of the league how to play him ? one Mr Jose mourinho.
