But better behaved.
Better behaved? Model professional where it counts: on the field.

Never ducked out of games, always kept himself fit and focussed (last 10 games of the 2015/16 season apart) always in front of camera said the right things.

Did he make it plain throughout he wanted better either with us or elsewhere? Yes.

Not a problem with that as long as he did his job....and he did, expertly.

He mentioned nothing about being beaten by United though. I can see what he's driving at: Lukaku scores and shuts his detractors up...the ones who were cheering his name a few weeks back.

The words Lukaku is using to describe United and its fans is just PR BS. How can anyone get wound up by that?
Mate no one should want anyone too score against you,I have no problems with him going if fact it could make us a better team,we all knew he was going to go but there are ways to do it,the lad can be a total tit sometimes.

£90 for a striker who is essentially at this moment in time a flat track bully - good business me thinks - time to move on

Between the trash talking, the disrespect and that run in with the law over in the USA.What a terrible example to our younger players. Were better off without him.Even with Roms goals taken out of the equation we still would have finished 7th last season.

Rooney leaving was more of a kick in the nuts, there was a life long blue - who'd had a good Euro's and was finally coming good - and he hands in a transfer notice at the first sign of a move away. Lukaku isn't a life long blue - he didn't grow up in the City, we all assumed he'd walk away last season but he didn't. He was always going to go, if United hadn't got in the Champions League he'd go to Chelsea, that's like - £90 million in the bank. He's gone - we should just remember his goals and move on and not care. Sadly imagine based on some of these comments he'll get alot of abuse when we play United - but that's more shame on us - we're supposed to be above those Kopite things - so the best thing to do would be focus on our actual strikers and ignore him when he turns up. I mean all the love for Rooney and he kissed the United badge at Goodison.

That's an extremely generous view and version of events

Big tit.
I'm going to work harder now.... Pfft
Good luck Rom, We will see if United have better fans next season.. And the season after that when you want a move to an even bigger club.

Showing himself up a bit now.
Time to move on.
He did well for us, but as he said, he checked out a while ago

From moment dot, he made it clear we were a stepping stone, and that's why some fans couldn't take to him. Their prerogative, as it's the club they love. Least the circus will be over now (Till Sandro starts slotting like a beast, and bats his eyelashes at the upper echelons of Spanish football ;) )
