I think sky are misquoting him on the fan comment.
I read that he'd said they have the biggest stadium and the most (best amount) of fans

Still a tit though. He's 'big time' now.

Look, when a player for whatever reason left Everton and plays for a rival, most fans won't care less.

Well I spose you can't deny they have the most fans, That in it's self means more bells harassing him on social media if / when he doesn't deliver...any who he's gone now and we have some goals to find of our own !!! onwards and upwards;)

I didn't take to him because he wasn't good enough mate. I accept most/all footballers are mercenaries. Indeed, the desire to do the best they can financially is what makes the elite the elite.

So no - for me, Lukaku was not good enough, because we were trying to play football with a striker who didn't facilitate football. He also destabilised the club at every opportunity in the press when he was abroad. I know it's a bit of a cliche, but the club is bigger - far bigger - than any player, and certainly bigger than a limited player like Lukaku.

If Sandro doesn't want to play for Real Madrid or Barcelona, I don't want him at Everton, because he's mentally an also-ran, and I've had more than enough of those at Everton over the years.

I want winners at the club, but they have to fit the way we play. Lukaku never did - he scored goals, but those goals didn't compensate for how much he harmed us as a team.

I don't think whats he saying about Man Utd is controversial or a surprise (apart from the fans bit because he hasn't actually played for them yet!). Equaly he's never hidden his personal ambitions.
Its just the timing of his comments. These type of comments normally come after he's signed and at the press conference following signature etc. He has no sense of how to go about things. Seems like a very egotistical individual to me. And with a mate like Pogba its easy to see why. No class whatsoever.
 

Let's show him this season how bigger club is Everton by finishing above united...i think it is possible as we're not miles away from them the season just past. Can you imagine his face if united was to miss out on champions league football to the expense of Everton...that would be priceless

I said some fans Tubey! lol There's a difference between ambition and showing you're good enough on the pitch, then there's mouthing off to the press. No problem with ambition!
 
We did a fantastic bit of business, Rom is a very good goal scorer but he needs to develop his all round game and show up on the big occasions, maybe he will cut it at United but I think they've paid a big price to find out. Honestly think we will have a better team without him, more balance and an overall greater threat, so despite his off field antics and idiotic press conferences, I'd like to thank him for what he has done for our club.
