Manchester United have agreed a £75m fee with Everton to sign Romelu Lukaku, according to Sky sources.

Senior Everton sources have told Sky Sports News HQ that no deal has yet been agreed for the 24-year-old but it is understood United remain confident one is close and will be finalised.

Sounds like utd are using jedi mind tricks on this one...

Less than an hour after Jim White started his morning show today with "United agree £75m deal", he retracted after Everton told him "No deal agreed".

Its been fuel to the fire all day.

Yeah this makes no sense at all. It's agreed but no deal has been agreed yet. Sound

It's going to be agreed and we don't care what you think....

Woodward: We have 75,000,000 republic dataries
Kenwright: Republic credits? Republic credits are no use out here. I need something different, something more real...
Woodward: I don't have anything else, but credits will do fine. [waves his hand, attempting to use the Jedi mind trick]
Kenwright: No, they won'ta.
Woodward: Credits will do fine. [tries the mind trick again]
Kenwright: [in a trance like state] OK 75 million.

Don't know why anyone is pissed off with the 75m price tag. I'm sure i read that without Lukaku, Everton would hve finished in 7th anyway. 75m is a hell of a lot for player who has no first touch. When the stakes are raised Lukaku has rarely delivered, whether its playing against "the top 6", semis in cups, or major euro/world cup games for Belgium. He'll get goals for United against the lower teams, but he better had, cos he's gonna frustrate the hell out of them. He will be found wanting in the champs league.

75m is a good price to be honest. Pretty much the 5th highest transfer fee ever, and Rom isn't in the calibre of player that has gone for those fees before. The only exception being... Pogba. Who also went to United. So that's where I can see the argument that we should push for more. But making a 47m profit and having 4 years of ~20 goals a season, well, I can't moan really.

Yes mate.

First touches win matches not 25 goals

Thank you for the goals. We never really loved you. You never really loved us. Good luck

I loved Rooney though and he gave us all of 2 seasons...

Lukaku gave us 4 seasons so we can't begrudge him his move. Think it's best for both that we part ways though and as you said, good luck to him. Hopefully he will look at us with envy as we finally get some success.
