Still feel the Rooney transfer has caused UNT to bolt the media with this which is worrying as we get an hasbeen back, and lose our leading goal scorer for a 1/4 off the price we innitaily wanted is it a way to smooth the Rooney move if somshafted yet again by UNT!
We may have got between 85-95 million of Chelsea!
The £100m thing has never been officially confirmed. Think people cling onto that a bit too much

The Rooney situation has undoubtedly muddied the waters...take that out of the equation and its a straight bidding war...Man U want Morata, Chelsea want Lukaku, - the latter wants to go back to the club he supports....lots of shenanagins going on at the moment
Defo this ^

The whole thing stinks to high heaven of a complete rouse to me. I'm still convinced he'll end up at the Chavs

Utd are listed on the New York Stock Exchange, so, if he goes there, it's very unlikely the fee won't be disclosed.

This is important and why add-ons may be the key, if it's £75m with £15m only added if Darmian wins the Ballon D'or it's a bit low but if it's £75m with £15m if there's a picture of Phil Jones gurning just before he kicks himself in the face then it's a good price.

Chelsea could bid lower than Man U but Rom need not agree a deal with United just because they made a higher bid, if he wanted to go to Chelsea. We would have to decide whether to turn Chelsea down and hope for a higher bid from them or keep him.

Possibly, but I still think it's fantastic business on Everton's part.
Given United's track record of paying high prices, Rom's likely ability to settle quickly (knows league and manager, has friends already at club, won't even have to move house), the homegrown player premium and the fact they are one of the teams we'll be aiming to beat fo Champions league I feel 75m would be a poor deal.
