Everton and Chelsea Charged - Ivanovic let off

I'm pleased that Ivanovic didn't get a retrospective ban, tbh.

I am not, he should have been done. I don't give a toss for that lot in the top four as to whether a ban helps them or not. I care about our club and getting justice for a dreadful bit of harassment and assault by Chelsea players, they need to brought to book and shown this has got to stop.

Helps anyone who Chelsea play against though - some of who's results may well affect us.

I only care about Everton - we don't have to play Chelsea again this season, but their results may well indirectly affect us. Just like the Cissé incident. We get screwed over, and all a retrospective ban does is help OTHER players - doesn't help us one bit.

I still want to see them screwed over for this. If this is allowed to ride what kind of message does that send out? for our future games that other team's players think if he can do it and get away why not us.

So hey lets just roll over & let them tickle our belly's ...ffs.

Yeah except I didn't say that.

Should we have gotten in the ref's face more DURING the game, seeing as Chelsea were doing it from the first minute? Of course we should.

Do I want the fact that we got screwed over during the game to help out OTHER teams when it won't help us? Not in the slightest.

What I think should actually happen in these situations (and for all violent conduct sendings off tbh) is that the player gets a two game ban, then is also banned for the next game between those two sides.

But since that doesn't happen, I don't particularly want out misfortune to help out other teams (teams who we're pretty much guaranteed to be in closer competition with this season than we are with Chelsea, sadly)

A no brainer, innit

Cant agree mate...if that was McCarthy doing it to Ivanovic Morinho would be having a fit & still bleating about it all this week.
No, I only care about Everton and believe we should only worry our form and no other clubs.
I dont go for the Bobby bashing on here but in this case he should be banging on the doors of the FA ....eventually that red Macca got could cost us a lot more.

But that's clearly not true, because you want a player from another team (who we won't play again this season) banning for three games when it CAN'T help us, and the only impact it can possibly have on us is negative.

Sorry mate think you are misreading this.
I'm not arsed who Chelsea play, its up to us & us alone to get out of this predicament.
We shouldnt be relying on anyone but ourselves.
Change Ivanovic for Gerrard in that situation would you feel the same "lets not get on Stevie Me's case he might help us out when Liverpool play our rivals"
Its a sorry state when a player assaults one of ours only for us to keep stum & hope he can do us a favour or two....not for me mate.

Anyone with half a brain knows quite well that Chelsea kicked that off so Barry would get a second yellow. They got exactly what they set out to get. It's a game we don't play very well and I'm glad we don't to be honest. They'll always be a plastic club with fat loud mouth fans who's own club don't give a shaft about them.

Should be a rule were only the captain can talk to the ref and you get booked for complaining or arguing that a player should get booked. The ammount of chelsea player kicking off about barry getting a red was a joke

I'd include the two players involved in the incident as well - the captains might not have seen what happened but otherwise there is no need for anyone else to come running across the pitch.
