Everton and VAR

Everything where money is involved is corrupt to some degree. Elections in developed countries that champion democracy have been shown to be corrupt.
You would have to be very naive to think football isn’t the same.
I honestly believe we get it more so for being the working class scouse club and not the media darling global supporting reds.

Even if you said it was a foul even if it was accidental, Silva is right in saying that it's about being consistent with the decisions. He's actually focusing on the right thing given you'll always have people arguing that he stepped on his foot and it's a foul, the point being made is that if VAR is now looking at all those incidents and the ref is being overruled on his decision then we're going to be having massive amounts of penalties every season. The frustrating thing is we all know already that that will never happen, they'll just carry on using it at random because the referees don't have a clue what they're doing with it. In it's trial form that's happening right now every manager should have been given the ability to force a VAR check and make the referees accountable for the decisions they're making.

Our game today alone showed how broken the system is when it's used at random, you'll have pundits saying they got it wrong but it doesn't correct that it ruined the game, nor will the referees ever be questioned over how bad their decisions are. VAR isn't helping the game by removing controversial decisions, it's creating new ones while also ruining the game from a supporter point of view so what's the point?

We are a soft touch and no one takes us seriously. We roll over and accept getting shafted all.the time. Was the same when Niasse got banned for diving off a bog standard foul.

Some call it cringe, but we should be using our social media tomorrow to bombard the public with how hypocritical and biased this decision was. We should be asking serious questions about Lee Mason and how he has set a post war record for most awarded penalties against the same club. We should be demanding answers.

Its got people talking. I'm sure it will be fixed so that today will be the only time a penalty has been badly awarded by VAR.

Ofcourse, remember the retrospective ban that happend to Niassie and then to a west ham player but never again

VAR has officials at Stockley Park supposedly checking potential mistakes (human error) by the officials doing the game who may or may not miss something because of 'the speed of the game' etc etc. They watch on video screens, slow it down, rinse and repeat, decree there's "contact" and then weeks after not overturning decisions because its not 'clear and obvious', decide now is the time to overturn things.
So, in the coming weeks there's going to be loads and loads of penalties now then (or there should be).........hmmmmm! We'll see.
If reviewed and there's 'contact' does that mean its a pen everytime? If so, why didnt they review the one on Richarlison?

Killing the game for me.

You need to have a decent striker to start getting some VAR decisions to maybe give us a chance.. We ain,t got ONE decent striker in the whole club!

A step on the foot doesn’t cause the type of reaction that Connolly had, referee had it spot on in not giving it
Agreed! He did make a meal of it but he did connect. Many players would have done the same. Its wrong but football sadly has moved to this level.
