Everton appoint Lee Sargeson as manager of scouting

One thing about Brighton that definitely gets overlooked is the owner, he built and bought in to this whole structure he wanted for the club to move forward with. it's not just the manager, the DOF, the head of scouting. its the actual owner and unless you have that ( which we don't ) then just bringing these name's in because of how well Brighton our doing can't even guarantee they will do any better then who you had before in that role. Brighton already have set plans in place for any possible contingency. They will already have a perfect replacement for this man..
Thellwell looks like he's trying to move the club in the right direction, but unless the people above wholeheartedly buy into it and put there whole weight behind it will just be more heartache..

So now read Lee Sargeson as Head of Scouting Operations instead of Dan Purdy Scouting and Operations Manager. Purdy hardly got a mention when he was appointed, we’ve created an additional position and it looks like Sargesson reports to Purdy, but who knows ?‍

I get we're all angry at the board but - getting one of Brighton's recruitment staff is great business. We haven't stopped drooling over how great their recruitment is for god knows how long.

What I've always said is Brighton can't be compared to us in any way, the expectations are totally different. For them anything is a bonus. However if they keep on improving, and pressure from fans and perhaps someday new owners increases, then it may be harder to keep rolling the dice and winning.
