"Everton can win the Premier League"

Unless we get some good back up in Jan for Barry/McCarthy we'll be absolutely f*cked if we lost either of them for a period of time. McCarthy was a massive loss today and we only played Fulham.

No more loans for me either in Jan unless we have a serious option to buy in the summer. We around 15m-ish in the summer money has to be made available.

It sounds like Heitinga and Jelavic might be going in January. Martinez said that he wanted replacements for Gibson and Kone anyway, so we might see a few new faces in the next window.

Arsenal have got Chelsea (h), West Ham (a), Newcastle (a) and Cardiff (h). I predict 7 points (DWLW).
Chelsea have Arsenal (a), Swansea (h), Liverpool (h) and Southampton (a). I guess 6 points (DWDD).
City have got Fulham (a), Liverpool (h), Palace (h) and Swansea (a). 10 points (DWWW)
Liverpool have got Spurs (a), Cardiff (h), City (a), Chelsea (a) and Hull (h). 8 points (DWLDW)
We've got Swansea (a), Sunderland (h), Southampton (h) and Stoke (a). 6 points (DWDD)

So the table on New Year's Day would be:

1. City 42 pts
2. Arsenal 42 pts
3. Chelsea 39 pts
4. Liverpool 38 pts
5. Everton 37 pts

Chelsea and the RS have tougher runs than us but I think we might struggle to break down our opposition.

I'm confident we will beat Southampton as long as the atmosphere is decent.

"Great movement from Everton, and a great spirit. That's what they've got to display if they want to get into the Champions League. A word for David Moyes here though - he has left those players and the systems in place for Roberto Martinez."

Koff Keown you tit.

* I posted this in the match thread! just thought it was relavant here *

Did he mention that Moyes was left a Premiership winning team and 'the systems in place' by Fergie but so far he hasn't made full use?

I have us on 43 points.

Joint-tightest defence in the league. They don't travel that brilliantly though.

W 0-1 West Brom
L 0-1 Norwich
W 0-1 Liverpool
D 1-1 United
D 1-1 Stoke
L 2-0 Arsenal
L 3-1 Chelsea
D 1-1 Newcastle

March will be a big month for us IMO

WHU (h)
toon (a)
Cardiff (h)
Swansea (h)
fulham (a)

We should only drop points at Newcastle away I'd say. Should easily win all our home games and should win Fulham.

Liverpool fixtures in march

Southampton (a)
Sunderland (h)
United (a)
Cardiff (a)
Spurs (H)

Uniteds

City (h)
WBA (A)
Liverpool (H)
WHU (A)
Villa (H)

fulham is just about as good home as we are. take 1 point from fulham at their ground is a decent result.

I have us on 43 points.

It wouldn't be impossible.

Swansea have drawn 3 and lost 1 of their last 6 homes games. Stoke have an identical record.
Sunderland have lost 4 and drawn 2 away. Southampton have drawn 3, lost 2 and won 1 on the road.

So draws look very likely against everyone apart from the Mackems.

Our away form is the second best in the league (3 wins and 2 draws). And we have the fifth best home form (4 wins and 2 draws).
