Everton confirm rejecting 28M for both Fellaini and baines

What's Fellaini going to do if Everton decide to keep hold of him? It's a WC season. Is he going to not play well?

Anyway, he will be sold. I hope for a lot more than that joke 20M figure.

If Bill and Bob sell Fellaini for 20m, they both need to be driven out of GP, never to be allowed in again, with a right good battering to see them on their way.

I don't understand why our fans are OK with the idea of selling Fellaini, specially with the quoted 20M (forget the add-ons, when they arrive they will be like 1M after he plays 20 games or something) we invested 17.5M in him, made him what he is today and him being 25 means he has 7-8 of his best years ahead, we wither sell with a huge profit or keep him, after all if we count his wages and bonuses and his agent fees, it will be 30M at least (transfer fees + wages + bonuses)

It's world cup year and Belgium will do very well, might well go all the way to the semi finals, he is one of their star players and with his afro, he will be one of the stars of the World cup, one of the players who will be very much talked about around the world during the world cup, do you have an idea what kind of an exposure he will give to Everton if he was still on our books?

Yet some want to sell him to sign a player from the Championship

Basically it's acceptable to some because they've been pummeled all summer with propaganda from United that he's worth sh*t, and some of them have fallen for it.

At today's rates he's worth 30M minimum.

He wont go for £20M every needs to stop panicking.

Only way that will happen is if he hands in a transfer request.

We have to accept that we got royally fleeced by Liege when we bought him. Thats what happens when you sign players at 23:53 on deadline day...you get bummed.

At the time he was worth probably £10M-£12M tops but the fans were fuming and the board needed to appease us quickly

It would be a gamble either way. Fellaini would be one year older, one year less on his contract. IF he had a good WC then would we still get more than the figure bandied about now or less if it was a bad WC. No one has a crystal ball.

Just hope that BK cannot be so stupid to let him go for peanuts, if we kept him nothing lost.

I don't understand how the hysteria has continued.
At first when the rumour broke that a deal had been agreed, but the only credible source in this entire saga(Greg O Keffee) has said no deal exists...so settle back and wait and see what happens.

I think Everton are negotiating while trying to keep Fellaini onside,if he should demand a transfer ,then our bargaining power gets even weaker as we seem to be talking to one team only...so far.

This is the end of football for me

I could not sleep last night knowing the best midfielder in the country is leaving for Utd for a joke fee of 20m, Martinez is a joke this would never have happened under Moyes, Why did he have to leave us, Hopefully he fails at Utd so we can welcome him back with open arms

Crying and shaking writing this lads

Why should our power diminish? LIverpool stood firm over Suarez forcing him to back down. WC year coming up, a player needs to play if he is to be selected rather than rot in the reserves. Even if a request is made we can just hold out for a fee acceptable to us.

Worst thing in all this is that Moyes knows he's keeping Everton dangling - the start of the season has been upset not knowing who is staying or coming in. It looks certain he'll leave Martinez with a hell of a task in the final few hours of the window scurrying around looking for deals and inevitable paying over the odds...all for the sake of a few million being saved by the richest club in the world...the one he's already saved millions for by walking out on Everton without compo having to be paid.

What a way to treat a club who treated you so well and gave you 3.5M wages per year for a decade.

Modric went to R M for 33m and he is 2 years older than Felli,

True, anyway, for a club like us, we do have to sell high and buy low, Moyes was great in that department, Mirallas for example should be worth twice what Rodwell is worth, not the opposite.

In Fellaini's situation and for us, it will be better 22M all upfront V/S 20M upfront and 4M add-ons (figure is an example)

Fellaini can't do anything even if we refused a 50M offer, he with his own will accepted a contract where he had until July 31 to be sold, in fact the clause is perfect for him and a disaster for us, if this season he becomes even better and shines in the World Cup and was sold for 23.5M next summer to Barcelona, we will be robbed.

I don't mind selling him if Martines wants to sell him and use the money to but 2-3 players, but with the quoted 20M, what can we buy? And if it's true that we will go after McCarthy, Dave Whelan knowing we just received 20M will make sure he takes every single $ off us, the idea of selling Fellaini for 20M and buying McCarthy for 12-15M is crazy
