Everton confirm rejecting 28M for both Fellaini and baines

Yes, I understand and agree with the premise that we should try to get as much money as possible for him. I just don't agree that a club paying over 23 million would be getting a very good deal.

I'm not arsed about any club other than Everton, so I am very happy when we overcharge other clubs. I just don't think it will happen, and the reason it won't happen is because clubs clearly don't see spending 23million pound on Fellaini as being some kind of bargain with a 7 million pound discount, which would have been the case if he really was in the same bracket as Modric or Fabregas etc.

How come Spurs always sell their reserve players on good money (even profits). Strange.

If so, I rather keep Fellaini.

Thats not what we have said though, is it.

What is the point in getting "what we want" on deadline day !?!
So we just sell below their values because they want to leave, the players have not handed in a transfer request, Man u have not offered enough money, the club have done nothing wrong here.

My point is, we should have sorted it out as soon as Baines said he wanted to leave, 6 weeks ago.

I'm sure we would have if:

A - Baines wanted to leave.

B - United put anything near a fair bid in for him.

I'm very unconvinced A is true, and I'm certain B isn't.

What are we supposed to do, just accept whatever United are magnanimous enough to offer?

Imagine if Rooney wanted to come back to Everton? I'm sure United would leap on our £4m bid for him ;)

Just for clarification, add ons DO NOT count towards the 23m mate.

Depends. If it's money spread over so many months, then I'm fine with that (e.g. £15m up front with £10m over 12 months). But if it's dependant on cups etc. then agreed.

£23m+ has to be guaranteed to land in the Everton accounts regardless of how the Mancs do or I'm walking.
