We have the best centre half pairing in the league by a million miles, Rafael is the best young defender in the country, Carrick is one of the best midfielders in the league, our keeper is the best young keeper in the world and when on form Nani is world class though he is extremely inconsistent.

It doesn't seem like he's meeting the valuation for either player, so the double transfer aspect seems a bit irrelevant.
