For the Man utd fan that reckons Baines doesnt add anything to your squad, Baines created 5 times more goalscoring chances than Evra last year, Utd have only scored 2 free kicks in the last 3 seasons, footy focus facts lol

One of your own nailed that pal. In our team Baines wouldn't be the main threat the way he is at yours, he wouldn't get to take all the free kicks, corners etc and we wouldn't use him as the outlet ball as often as you do.
Again I say I am not saying I don't rate the lad but he wouldn't have the same statistics playing for us and I never said 'he'd add nothing to our squad' I just think his impact would be limited and seeing as we're clearly struggling to pay for ANY new players I don't see why we should spend 12, 15 or whatever million on a player we don't really need.
None of that ^^ means I don't think Baines is an excellent player

Fair reply from ya mate tbh and probably correct as Utd wouldnt obviously focus everything down the left like weve done for a few years (not so much last year though tbf as coleman/Mirrales at times offered more threat in many games giving us a much greater balance)
The stat about free kicks for you lot was a shocking one though

Presumably the talk of interest in Bale and of Ronaldo returning were simply paper talk? Is there a growing feeling of doubt re Moyes' appointment among United supporters ?

Missing the point again - you'd be adding that quality option to your squad. Not every signing has to be a tactical focal point for every game.
Not that I particularly care as you won't pay the money to sign him now. 99% certain Baines is an Everton player come Tuesday.

I'm not missing any point. I can't make my point any clearer, I rate Evra highly, very highly actually as both a defender as an attacking option, we don't need a left back end of story as far as I'm concerned.
