I said he made progress, and I agree with you about the downgrading of expectation. I just hope you apply the same standard of expectation under Martinez' stewardship, because there already seems to be an awful lot of excuses being attached to everything he does.

What do you expect after 4 competitive games and one transfer window? He has a decade of Moyes' work to blend into his own philosophy and you want to see the results now?

Bit like Groundhog Day this.

I wish we'd put this to bed one way or the other but one thing I don't understand is if your chairman knows he's gonna sell and let's face it he will already know then he should be allowing replacements to be brought in now, like Spurs have done before selling Bale.

Everyone's blaming Moyes for doing your legs on transfer deadline day but Moyes has gone, there's no sentiment in football, well not in winning football, these people have to be ruthless.

It's not Moyes's fault if you get left short, you're a massive club approaching this in Sunday league fashion. I know you don't need me to tell you how your club is run but I do think some of you and I'm emphasising SOME, are misdirecting your anger here.

A rip-off ? If we had Levy as Chairman he'd be staying unless 30mil was put down.

He's far superior than any of your central midfielders.

It is not a Daniel Levy type person we need as chairman.

What we need is a Joe Lewis type sugar daddy in the background.

Levy is only able to act the way he does because Joe is the man whom finances Spurs.

Moyes could have brought him last month if he paid the release clause, he chose not to and try to get him much cheaper, and we've rejected two bids, what do you expect us to do?

Startlingly stupid post. YOUR club has screwed this up good and proper all summer, so why should we sign players and trust in you amateurs to actually sign the dotted line for Fellaini once we've done so?

We'd be left £15-20m out of pocket if Dithering Davie does his usual!

How many competitive games did he have with Wigan and how many transfer windows? He know's the score and should be able to adapt.

What irks me is that he has aparrently thrown his hands in the air and stated it is all being dealt with by the Chairman, has he got no balls to stand upto BK and tell him what is what? Our EX would not have stood for this, it was he called BK's tune. Have we got a weak manager.

spurs actually havent spent that much in the last 5 seasons when you consider all the money they've brought in from sales.

Amazing having a Manc lecture us on how to run a club during a transfer window, when his own current organise a piss up in a brewery at the moment.

"Come on Evertonians, just buy a crapload of players, ruin your wage and transfer budget structure just so we know Fellaini might sign by Tuesday."

Surreal.

Is that so how much did Fellaini cost?, and the others our Ex brought in. Anyway you have it the wrong way round BK would not have been able to offload players without our EX giving the okay, which was my point.

Give me one good reason why our ex manager with a blank cheque book at his disposal have to wait till the very last day of the transfer window to plunder his former "beloved" Everton -
that is not ruthless - that is a cheap shot at our club and our new manager
