I think it'll be Clattenberg that crowns them as Champions this weekend.

And I wouldn't be surprised if he got to ref their game against Chelsea also

And Pistone back on a free straight after we'd released him because we had no left back for the qualifier. People always forget Pistone

There's a good reason for that...................didn't realise how poor our signings were the season after we finished 4th, its no wonder it all went pear shaped

just did a predictor for the final games and had city finishing top 8 points clear of pool in 3rd (chelsea 2nd) so no panic at all!!!!

oh and we got 4th as well, sorted

We'd sold Rooney the year before and just jumped from a relegation fight to the big money table which meant we had plus 15 million to spend and CL football to use as a carrot.

And we bought Simon Davies, Mikel Arteta, Phil Neville, Per Kroldrup, Andy Van Der Meyde, John Ruddy, Pistone on a free and Matteo Ferrari on loan.

I mean Arteta was superb for us, but by and large we hardly took advantage of our greater prestige by buying top draw players did we?

That's quite a depressing list of players arteta aside.

I've hesitated to say anything on this, since (as an American) I didn't grow up surrounded by the RS and am a relative latecomer to the rivalry. That said, I have no idea how anyone could wish for their team to do worse simply to prevent another team from succeeding. There were certain USA fans saying we should have lost our last WC qualifier as it would have knocked Mexico out. No. A thousand times no. I support Everton, and want them to win every match - other results be damned.

You don't have to WIN the CL for it to be massive for the club. Being there can pay dividends that allow EFC to finally push on to the next level. Shouldn't that be the bottom line for any supporter?

Honestly don't care.. even if they do win the league now. We are fighting for fourth and may not come this close again in a while with the money every club is going to throw at success nest season! We need this now... if you gave us 4th now but liverpool won the league I would bite your hand off!

Even if we don't and they still win the league, atleast we gave it a fooking good go!

If you've voted 'Lose - I'd rather 5th than see the kopites win it' you finger animals and you need to stop saying you support Everton. In fact, if somebody does ask you who you support you need to say, "anybody but Liverpool, lid".
He's right you know.

Any Evertonian who'd sacrifice a champions league place to stop Liverpool winning the title needs to have a word with themselves.

Those saying they'd rather have 5th cannot honestly say they want what's best for Everton.

So wait even if everton had nothing remotely to play for and would finish in the same position no matter whether they won or lost but could decide where the title goes, you still would only care about an everton win?
