Everton could crown Liverpool as champions

The RS winning the league will have long term negative implications for us that will far outweigh the one off benefit of finishing 4th and CL qualification. For that reason, if it comes to it, I'd give up 4th for the RS not being champions. That's not being bitter or small time. Nor does it mean I hate them more than I love us. On the contrary, I say it with the objective of wanting our club to claw back the massive gap between us and them currently. Them winning the league will make that gap even bigger, regardless of what we do.

In the nicest possible way, anyone who wishes Everton to finish lower down the league so Liverpool don't win the league cannot honestly say they want the best for our club.

Are you an Evertonian or a Liverpool-hater? I don't think the two are the same. I'm an Evertonian, why should I care where Liverpool finish?

That attitude contributed to our demise from 1970 we never took them serious I remember old hands talking about them being an ale house team and we were some kinda purist organisation playing this beautiful football. Meanwhile they steamrollered us and everyone else, to not understand the influence their success has in the heartland misses everything thats important about our club.
