God i hope they don't win the league, how insufferable would they be then. I know we are going to get at least a point against City so i think they have a very very good chance of winning it. Id rather just think about Fulham tomorrow to be honest. So in the meantime im going to tell you a little story...
True story by the way I was the barman. Picture the scene.. Cold winters night on an island with a storm brewing, all the local fishermen are in the pub and the topic of conversation is. You are in a boat with your wife and mother and the boat you are skippering gets into trouble, it has taken on so much water that sinking looks inevitable. Land is within swimming distance for you but as neither the wife or mother can swim a decision needs to be made on whom to save? As you can imagine, the topic gets heated, some say " save the wife" for the kids sake, others side with the " Mammy" as you can only ever have one mother.. Everybody has a say, some fella even said he couldn't chose and said he would make for the shore himself.
As was often the case when an argument happened the final say was often left to the elderly man at the corner of the bar, he would be in every night and his decision was usually final..
He had remained silent throughout the discussion until now.. So i asked.. Phil what would you do??
Son.. I would try and save the boat. So we could all go home.
So ill sit on the fence like Phil did, and just hope we finish 4th and they don't win the league.
