Our home form is qute concerning. I actually dread going to goodison now a days.
What seems so bad about a lot of our home performances could have looked much different.

Just 4 wins.

Out of form Chelsea. stroke of luck with Besic being injured and naismith unexpectedly scoring a hatrick.

The other wins where against who? yes the current bottom 3.

Defeats against City and United. outplayed on the day by the better team?

draws v Liverpool and spurs. fair results based on play?.

Just 2 points from
Leicester ,Stoke, Swansea, West Brom.
Watford and Palace.

4 out of 6 wins against these last 6 teams would see us sitting just behind man city.

Its funny when your look at the home form and how easy we are, and listen to experts on the radio and managers in post match interviews saying what a difficult place it is too go, fortress Goodison and all that rubbish, when it reality we are one of the easiest teams to get a result against at home and the atmosphere being so toxic can't help. But i don't believe anyone goes the game with the intention of blowing up on the players...etc but the fume and frustration just gets too much for many.

I've no problem with booing when the manager takes off the best player on the pitch. It shows appreciation of Lennon and also what a stupid decision yet again by the manager.
Probs does not do much for Deulofeu coming on though mate and almost certainly boosts Albion's resolve that they have got us divided amongst ourselves.

I think our manager and his tactics are dividing us more mate.
Sadly this is true. Poor home form is guaranteed to cause this. Bingham, Lee, Kendall, Moyes and now Martinez all been through serious periods when they divided the fans. One came through it with trophies....the others had a legacy that was rather mixed. Still hoping Martinez comes through this because I like him and I really like these players.

Good post that at one point or another I gave them all stick even Kendal, all except Bingham for some reason , just thought it was treason at that young age to voice anything bad about Everton, and big Joe who could do no wrong in my eyes, still say it was a disaster the day he walked out

but Deulofeu should be on from the start in every home game anyway
Yeah good case for that but I would definitely say Lennon deserved his start based on previous few games AND he certainly was going past his marker for fun at times. Final ball not so sharp though or at least not enough times a Blue on the end of the cut back.
I am happy with either player on first and other on as required when oppo defence is tiring. It keeps them both sharp and competing for first pick.
My perfect 20-20 hindsight solution to Saturday (and other park the bus teams) is to try something completely different for about 15 mins involving a really pacy extra attacker such as Deulofeu or Mirallas playing in the centre and running at the heart of the defence with Lukaku dragging defenders wide as a decoy. Could sacrifice a defensive midfielder or even defender. That said Ross did find himself in two great positions to score late on coming through the middle like that. It just would not go in.

At one point in Bingham's era one of my uncles who was a passionate Blue gave up his season ticket saying he would not be back until Bingham was gone. I was about 14 or so. It was anathema for me to even consider such criticism of the manager. Ultimately unless we are regularly battering poorer teams the manager is going to have a few questions to answer. I am still in the patient camp but can understand guys going a bit mad with so few home wins over a long time now.
True about big Joe although I have to admit to wondering why he would not play Limpar and Kanchelskis together more often. He had a two winger team at Oldham but with us seemed to favour one only iirc. Any way going a bit off topic there sorry!

the idiot in charge has spunked 65m on 4 players alone - McCarthy, Mori, Lukaku and Niasse - and all he can do is moan about the fans in lieu of his own inability to get them playing properly.
