And it's been like that all season?
It was like that at the start of the season (the booing of Kone against Watford), died down a little when we were actually playing well for a little while, but has been back in full effect over the last couple of months.

If you want to give the players and manager a free ride then fair enough, blame the fans. Thankfully none of them would give it as a feeble excuse.

That's awfully reductive, isn't it? Either the fans are perfectly blameless or everything is their fault?

Look, if you think it's a good idea to sarcastically clap Tim Howard when he catches an easy cross, yell at John Stones for trying to play the ball out from the back, start whistling impatiently when it takes more than two passes to get the ball past the halfway line, jeer when someone attempts a through ball and it doesn't come off, or boo when a substitution you're not in favor of happens, fine. I'm not going to convince you differently. I'm not paying £25 for the privilege of being there, and the people who are doing that are. (I wish I could, but that's not the point.) If you think that it doesn't have any effect on the players, though, I think you're just wrong, and I'll leave it at that.

Mayv=be this shows the last time you went the game mate

No offence intended like. I paid 45 quid each to take my sister to the game today while I'm home

Players got a decent clap at the end today because the second half they played well. Atmosphere was quiet in the first half because we scored against the run of play and continued to stand 3-4 yards off every spurs player.. .they were walking through us

None taken. I live 4,000 miles from Goodison, so I've never actually had a chance to be there. I was guessing at the price based on what a baseball or basketball game would cost here. £45 seems high -- I hope they were good seats!

Mate, the players aren't bothered in the slightest. As long as the manager is happy with them they couldn't give a damn about moans and groans. It's the same everywhere in the country apart from Leicester where they've started to spend all game clapping for absolutely no reason whatsoever now their team has started picking up wins.

From my experience the odd moan and groan gives the players a kick up the backside. They need to know they're not playing well enough at times.

Sorry Danny but IMO theres a direct link between the nervy display of some of our players in games over the last 18 months and the close to poisonous atmosphere at Goodison at times. Funes Mori yesterday for example in the first half.

Of course its not all the fans fault, but it definitely doesnt help. I don't think the fact some players will sometimes react to it and be spurred on makes it generally ok to do. Again, we all want them to win so unless its at Walter Smith Please Change The Manager disastrous type levels I think the fans should be way more behind the team than the atmosphere seems to currently show.

Anyway, pointless banging on about it. Not going to stop some loud mouthed attention seeking idiot with anger issues from roaring abuse at Ross all game because he is not slamming in goals and doing everything perfectly.

Its the modern fan in general I think. Was talking with a mate who supports Spurs before and after the game and he was complaining about the fans whinging about Carroll when he is relatively new to the team and still young. Same people loving Lamela now were the ones wanting him out the door within months of his arrival.

Zero patience.

Its not just the younger fans. Every match you can see the same set of missrible old arseholes who spend the whole game in compete silance. They only nod with aproval when they like and tut while shaking their heads with a nasty knowing little grin when they see somthing they dont. I've said before and ill say it again, Football was always going to go this way when clubs started to treat fans like customers rather then fans. If you price out half our fanbase and rip off the other half who do pay the outragously overpriced tickets dont be suprised when people have an entitled attitude. That being said the booing of our own players disgusted me yesterday, what do these people think will happen? Howard will get better by magic? Or Martínez will drop him due to the booing? Nither is going to happen! Nor is Martínez going to be sacked regardless of what we want so insted of giving abuse all game maybe these idiots should just support the side. Just a thought like! Oh and before sombody gets on their high horse and asks if i go to the home games, yes ive only missed a few home match's in over twenty years.
