If it was quiet, that wouldn't be so bad. The boos and whistling were plenty loud.
And it's been like that all season?

It was like that at the start of the season (the booing of Kone against Watford), died down a little when we were actually playing well for a little while, but has been back in full effect over the last couple of months. And it's been like that all season?

That's awfully reductive, isn't it? Either the fans are perfectly blameless or everything is their fault? If you want to give the players and manager a free ride then fair enough, blame the fans. Thankfully none of them would give it as a feeble excuse.

Look, if you think it's a good idea to sarcastically clap Tim Howard when he catches an easy cross, yell at John Stones for trying to play the ball out from the back, start whistling impatiently when it takes more than two passes to get the ball past the halfway line, jeer when someone attempts a through ball and it doesn't come off, or boo when a substitution you're not in favor of happens, fine. I'm not going to convince you differently. I'm not paying £25 for the privilege of being there, and the people who are doing that are. (I wish I could, but that's not the point.) If you think that it doesn't have any effect on the players, though, I think you're just wrong, and I'll leave it at that.
None taken. I live 4,000 miles from Goodison, so I've never actually had a chance to be there. I was guessing at the price based on what a baseball or basketball game would cost here. £45 seems high -- I hope they were good seats!Mayv=be this shows the last time you went the game mate
No offence intended like. I paid 45 quid each to take my sister to the game today while I'm home
Players got a decent clap at the end today because the second half they played well. Atmosphere was quiet in the first half because we scored against the run of play and continued to stand 3-4 yards off every spurs player.. .they were walking through us
Our Americans are better fans than 80% of those sat at Goodison. It's a disgrace.
Mate, the players aren't bothered in the slightest. As long as the manager is happy with them they couldn't give a damn about moans and groans. It's the same everywhere in the country apart from Leicester where they've started to spend all game clapping for absolutely no reason whatsoever now their team has started picking up wins.
From my experience the odd moan and groan gives the players a kick up the backside. They need to know they're not playing well enough at times.
