It was like that at the start of the season (the booing of Kone against Watford), died down a little when we were actually playing well for a little while, but has been back in full effect over the last couple of months.

Kone wasn't booed when he came on versus Watford.

This issue was discussed here at the time and debunked for the fallacy it was.

The boos were for the removal of the player he was replacing which was an unpopular decision....I can't recall who it was, possibly Mirallas.

@bluelord49, @Joey66, @Khalekan, @Dario Terracotta and a few others will probably confirm that there's nothing new happening. Evertonians are a demanding, difficult, knowledgeable group who don't suffer football fools gladly & let them know all about it.

If you want a gospel choir shaking tambourines and clapping every move, you probably need to change team or sport.

For sure.

Today's players should think themselves lucky they ain't dodging cushions after a bad display lol

Like all other clubs, we are supported by idiots. Im sure they don't walk around asda / Home bargins / greggs shouting at people, booing them etc.

They turn into complete weapons when they get into Goodison.

This is It in a nutshell. If you turn up in a pub wanting to be the loudest there and making sure you're the only one heard then you'd be told to cut it out or be asked to move. Try telling anyone like that to pipe down or contradict them and they'll get worse. In my experience the ones just shouting personal abuse rather than trying to get them going if they need it, are the ones who generally get everything wrong.
Hard to say if there's more at Goodison than most but they do seem to make themselves more obvious.

Look at us, turning on each other, the players, and the manager.

It's clear the young'uns just weren't raised right, and whose fault is that, daddy-o?

Anyway, everyone should stop being so gosh-darned negative and have some self respect. Bunch of blistered blue ball bags.

Do not tell me to change a team I have supported since I was born in 1955, I have seen the good days, and bad days so please do not insult me please its very condescending to mention me behind my back!
You also insult the other two posters I communicate with on this site you need banning imo!
If that upsets you ditto you have upset me, and probably them a disgusting post I have never come across you or answered you so why pick three older blues out - thats age discrimination - I am offended please apologise I have not posted anything about you!
I will always support the team my late father told me from day one to support not to be told by you OK!

Its not just the younger fans. Every match you can see the same set of missrible old arseholes who spend the whole game in compete silance. They only nod with aproval when they like and tut while shaking their heads with a nasty knowing little grin when they see somthing they dont. I've said before and ill say it again, Football was always going to go this way when clubs started to treat fans like customers rather then fans. If you price out half our fanbase and rip off the other half who do pay the outragously overpriced tickets dont be suprised when people have an entitled attitude. That being said the booing of our own players disgusted me yesterday, what do these people think will happen? Howard will get better by magic? Or Martínez will drop him due to the booing? Nither is going to happen! Nor is Martínez going to be sacked regardless of what we want so insted of giving abuse all game maybe these idiots should just support the side. Just a thought like! Oh and before sombody gets on their high horse and asks if i go to the home games, yes ive only missed a few home match's in over twenty years.
Any evertonian at the ground on here this thread should follow our club motto -Nothing but the best will do - end off then its down to opinions hence the forum and in the ground!

There's a simple solution really. Instead of them all getting up on a Saturday morning, putting their headphones on and playing Fifa with their mates, they need to get down the park with a few jumpers and a decent mitre casey and have a game of Wembley.

Playing Wembley on a park covered in tog turd is like a football apprentiship that most need to do ;)

to be honest, Joey......I don't think he is aiming that last sentence at you, me or the other boys mentioned nor intending any insult.

Our names were mentioned as we our long enough in the tooth to know that Evertonians moaning and griping about this, that or thon is nowt new.

And what he means in the last sentence is that anyone moaning about the moaners is urinating into the wind.

That is the way I interpreted it anyway :)

No I pm him its out of order -backstabber!

It's definitely up for debate whether or not the players have any confidence issues, or whether the club's poor performances at home have anything to do with the fans. I'd say Martinez definitely needs to start setting the team up at home more like he does away.

The atmosphere is certainly poisonous at Goodison at the moment, though, and it's ridiculous to deny it. I heard more cheering and singing from the Spurs supporters today -- even when they were down a goal -- and I heard more booing and whistling than cheering from the Everton supporters -- even when we were up a goal. That's poisonous. The players are getting absolutely no support from their "supporters". You may think that's perfectly justified, but it's undeniable at the moment.
