Is right, calling itself a newsagents!

Any chance she can take McGeady and Naismith off our hands if we give them directions to Everton Farm instead of Finch Farm.

Just a thought.
Everton FC is in the Liverpool district of Walton. So surely she has the right to use the word Everton more than the club do?

Secondly - if that newsagent is by the ground and not actually in Everton then it should be in big troubke as it is ripping off the name and font while not actually in Everton or associated with the club (I imagine).

Thirdly - she has got her free advertising now and I'll make sure next time I'm driving through that way I'll seek out that shop and buy some of the produce. If it isn't as good as what she says it is I'll proper fume about this then.

Hence their request to change the words size/font so they're consistent;

The Premiership club, founded in 1878, have offered Ms Troop a settlement where she can continue to call herself Everton Farm Shop as long as all the words are in the same size and font.

Fair, small request IMO.

Everton will back down because of the PR headache - she knows it, and has took the opportunity to go public for some promotion.

It's not a fair request.

There's no way that logo is infringing on any club trademark.

The retained legal team are not protecting the brand by doing this, they're trying to justify their fees by pursuing anything possible regardless of it being clear nonsense.

I think they didn't want any future complications with the lads over the name (if she owns the trademark, it could be problematic). They wanted to settle (and they should try), but I think it's horrible if they did take legal action against someone who already had a right to the name. It's bullying
