Camboselecta

Player Valuation: £1.5m
The sleeping giant that is EFC is awaking and making great strides in the transfer market, but every time I go to the website Im astounded at just how bad it is.

As a team that is trying to raise its international profile, a quality website is the first port of call for those that want to know more about us. If we are happy to (potentially) spend £50m on players then we should spend £50k on a quality site with a great user experience.

Does anyone know anything about who looks after the site?

Davek I think

RippleEffect.

ETA: What's your problem with the website? I don't like the horizontal scroll on the homepage, but other than that, it's decent.

Mate we won't even finish above seventh.

I don't know what you would expect from a club website, we seem to cover it all, a link to buy merchandise, fixtures, history and blowing smoke up all its employees arses

If you want true fan insight then stick to GOT and the likes

Its almost like people have never looked at other clubs websites.

They are all terrible.

I don't know what people expect from websites - and not just football club websites - but all consumer-focused sites. They're primarily a source of easily accessible information or retail that work on a huge range of devices, they're not supposed to be deep, engaging, visually-stunning, magazine-style experiences.

Not sure where to begin, the site is terrible. Did anyone watch the game today? Did you find the live stream easy? To say that 'other clubs have worse sites' is crazy. Thats the same as saying some clubs have rubbish stadiums so why should we have a better one. The website is the face of the club for those that want to know more. If we want to win things its going to come from every aspect of the club, more people like the site and can find content they like means more shirts sold and tickets bought. Its all part of the same thing.

Im not going to bore everyone with a detailed usability audit. Id like to know who if anyone reads the messages sent to club about it.

You're moaning about the f***ing website lad? There's like two places in the world you can buy an Everton jersey! I couldn't give damn about the website!

Websites are not so important these days anyway. Social media is where it's at - today's match was live on Facebook. The club have made big strides recently on the media front and the site isn't that bad to be honest.

?

You write it off yet don't explain what's wrong with it. The stream on Facebook (and the tech behind it) has nothing to do with their website.

Sorry mate, you can't say it is 'terrible' and not give one tangible reason to back up your opinion. It is ridiculously easy to buy tickets and merchandise on there - they are the two main options on the landing page. The navigation couldn't be clearer. Really don't get what your concerns are here. o_O

It's alright mate - they all come here first...

Must admit, I'm not a fan of the official website style at all. I don't visit very often, just syndicate all EFC news instead.

Reckon would cost an awful lot more than the 50k figure to rebuild it though...
