Longstaff could actually be his downfall, there are Benitez fanboys that seem against the possibility of this. It's just replacing Tom Davies with Tom Davies except the new one probably does'nt walk about in his nans rug/dressing gown on a night out.

I wouldn’t particularly want longstaff here, but he’s a lot better than Davies. That’s not too hard though because just about every professional midfielder in England is better than a bloke who can’t run, pass, tackle, or shoot.

Would be an absolute waste of time for me. Getting a lad who can't get a game at a relegated club.

Davies is like Zidane compared to him.

Conveniently leaving out Gray and Townsend but whatever suits the narrative.

And Moyes signed some duds as well.
The funny thing is there is no like to Longstaff, it actually came when someone wrote it on this site as a joke and some troll from the press grabbed it and ran with it, but we are not looking at and will not be going for Longstaff, he plays the one place we have more then enough players to cover.
It shows how well Benitez has done getting Gray and Townsend for 1.7 that people have to make stuff up about him, he gets a pass for Rondon as King should be our back up if Carlo hadnt of been such a all around failure of a Everton manager

Yeah Gray and Townsend are good, I think Gray will be good long term but Townsend is reverting to type more recently. Does he get in our side with everyone fit? I`m not so sure but is a good option and perhaps he is just suffering a dip in form, we will find out when he comes back from his injury.

Moyes did have some duds but they werent 32,34 & 37 taking up wages we cant afford and stunting our youths chance of playing. Lets be honest if Rondon didnt come in Simms and Dobbin would have played by now.

Would be an FFP deal. Davies gets sold for an amount that would be pure FFP profit as he’s an academy player. Longstaff would be bought for a pittance, would create head room elsewhere for another incoming.

Davies is unfortunately an absolutely terrible player who now struggles with absolutely every aspect of the game. 17 year old Davies looks like Zidane compared to his current form.

So swapping [Poor language removed] for [Poor language removed] for to afford someone else? Got it.

Or... promote an academy product and not buy Longstaff.
