Everton January 2022 Transfer Thread

Forest are a bit of a weird club though and they go through managers like Everton Watford do, I know he was at Lincoln last season and did well but he was only 19 so it was probably an experience thing, they also have a pretty large squad there. He would be a good signing for us going forward and could mature into a really good player but tbh I think he will go to a bigger club than us.
Fixed that for you.

Worth remembering indeed, they arsed about with us over it in the summer to the point the lad had to back down on wanting to move
The most recent link I can find to AMN is from about 2 weeks ago on a poor site and just says he might want to move on, nothing else. This is just Dave trying to sidetrack from not signing the Rangers lad because he has issues with them.

Worth remembering he was a naive fool and thought, somehow, he'd play loads at Arsenal. Leave him there to suffer.
He called Arsenal out on social media in the summer to try and join us, Arsenal wouldn't let him go. He joined West Brom on loan who were pretty much dead and buried such was his desire to play games.

I don't want him here because I want a specialist right back rather than a utility player but to blame him in any way for the fact he's still stuck at Arsenal is laughable.

Called them out, listened to them butter him up, stayed, isn't playing, wants us again.

I don't rate him anyway but he's for sure partly to blame for the predicament he's now in.

It was more a case of him begrudgingly accepting his situation rather than being sold a false promise and him falling for it hook line and sinker. This all went down on deadline day so it left all parties involved with very little time.

Either way, we're in agreement that we shouldn't be bringing him here, no matter how much he wants to play for us.

The thing is that Arteta seems so touchy and reactive about stuff that if AMN had just kept off social media and kept his trap shut he would have probably got his move imo.

Naismith was a far far better player than Mcgeady for us.
Naismith was not a bad player for us at all. He was never a world beater or going to go on crazy runs and bend them in from 30 yards, but he was superrb at doing that 'Cahill role' off the striker but having more about him with his feet.

To put him on the same level as McGeady is nonsense.

I wish half of our squad had the effort that NAismith gave every game.
