If we are bringing in those players then another player or two must be leaving with Digne.
Why? I’ve just explained how it’s possible, obviously other players will be going out the door I’d imagine. And we all dont know how much we maybe need to bring in to cover debt, that’s another issue.

But selling Digne for 20/25 mil will easily cover 3 of those 4

I mean, unless you know Arteta personally, that's pure speculation. At the start of the season Arsenal would probably has seen us a similar level team in terms of taking points off each other, they probably didnt want to strengthen us. If i remember it was quite late in the window as well, so perhaps had it been earlier in summer it would have been more likely.

Arsenal are nothing these days compared to actual quality teams.

Arteta is deffo a snide little rat, the type of person to grass on his neighbours for letting their families come to the front door and not stand at the end of the path during lockdown.

Firstly, that assumes that we can pay in instalments over the length of the contract. Rangers certainly aren’t accepting that.

Secondly, it also assumes that tgd money isn’t required to service existing debt. There appears to be a belief that a £20m sale permits £100m spending???

Would be a handy addition in my view. Can cover full back but also is a strong mobile midfield player. Sounds like he’s actually keen to join as well to play. I’d imagine he’d take on board tactical instruction for the good of the team as well. Give me AMN in midfield covering Allan/ Docuoure or at right back any day of the week over Davies Delph Coleman
I'd take him any day over a player who cant hold down a place in a pub team.

We need mature players, PL experienced and ready to go.

Generally when clubs like Arsenal let players go it’s because they aren’t good enough. I know we should base each decision on it’s own merits, bit that is generally our experience of getting players from clubs like Arsenal.

I thought AMN got a harsh deal by Arsenal, was more or less off to Wolves, because he wanted to play for his international chances and it just came across like Arteta was a big ego and didn’t want to play him.

Personally, I think AMN is a lot different prospect to Iwobi, who felt a lot like a panic buy.

Probably not actually happening anyway mind.

Most transfers are paid in instalments. Rarely does any club pay in full, especially for multi million transfer fees.

Existing debt that requires servicing would have been covered by revenue. Someone has explained how the accounting work for FFP. Everton has money. Just not allowed to spend it. The situation is a little unique compared to say a club who literally doesn't have money to spend.

I’m no expert on how the finances work, but I think it’s got nothing to do with what we pay Rangers. It’s how we put it through our yearly books. Siggurdsson costs 9mil a season on the books, 9x5 = 45mil. I’d like a bet that our agreement with Swansea on how we paid the 45mil was a bit different.

Selling a player the profit goes straight into the accounts, buying is different, it’s spread over the contract, that’s why Liverpool selling coutinho allowed them to buy a number of expensive players.
