I think Townsend is a squad player. If he’s a regular moving forward then we won’t get anywhere
I'm not suggesting he should be more than a squad player, I'm just saying it is unusual for managers to sign a player then upgrade him within 6 months. I would be very keen to see an upgrade but I don't think we will, until the summer at the earliest

The thing is, Andros Townsend has just done what he always does throughout his career - have a few good games then vanish into the background, that is Townsends career in a nutshell. We won't get anywhere if our options are him/Iwobi on the right hand side, as others have said he is just a very average player.

I don't disagree with any of that

Well I suppose Gordon, gray and Richarlison can play right side. If he’s going for a number 10, then he won’t play 442. So probably gray & Richarlison either side of DCL. And hopefully he bring in another class wide player next summer.

For me if Digne goes...priority:

LB
RB
CM
RW
CB
Well we have a LB done so there's no issue there. RB, we'll see. I don't get why people are acting like Patterson is a guaranteed solution. He's played about 30 senior games so we shouldn't pay much more for him than 8/9m.

CM/AM is going to be the next one yeah - they are gonna go for that in the window. Could see a push for Lingard late on even though it's been leaked he wants to stay at Utd

I wouldn’t want lingaard, he must be 29 on big wages. And apart from a golden spell at West Ham, which was basically 11 games he’s been very average and inconsistent, Most of his career, let’s keep going down the youngster route.
