Everton January 2022 Transfer Thread

He wasn’t good at Atalanta - they didn’t even take the time to play him. Loaned him out then sold him off the back of it.
He was only 18 when he was at Atalanta. It isn’t easy to breakthrough at that age in champions league team.

Very effective in both spells at Parma though. Perhaps a swap for Digne with inflated valuations (40m+) to help FFP could be an ideal outcome
Oh Christ half of Juventus's staff are under criminal investigation for exactly that, I'm not sure they are going to do it again ?

Kulusevski on loan with fee agreed would be the smart option.

Juventus have interest in Digne plus Kean has 18m left on his "loan"

He hasn't really been excellent at Juventus however Pirlo played him more last season than Allegri has done but was good at Parma and Atalanta.

Left footed right winger mainly but can also play centrally, 21 years old, height, pace and strength but very untested outside of Italy.

Worth a gamble
Absolutely worth a go. Although would involve a player swap with Digne. Pretty sure you can’t loan one than 1 player ie Moise Kean.

If you are charged, it makes a big difference. I don't want to get into enormous details, but hypothetically if you were charged by the police a crime of x,y or z employers will often suspend without pay.
Nope, innocent before proven, suspended on full pay.

I would suggest that an approach in these unusual circumstances given the time absent that FFP will be removed for his salary only, but big maybe.

Hypothetically if footballers could have their wages withheld for an arrest and charge until court / sentencing, the same principle would apply to drink driving charges etc. I really don’t think any agent worth his salt would present a client with a contract that could so easily result in hundreds of thousands of pounds being withheld from them.
Once someone is found guilty of a crime and any suspensions being found to have been reasonable to prevent the employer being brought into disrepute, I would wholly expend any contractual fees paid to be recoverable, especially when the nature of said accusations reasonably prevented the player from fulfilling his contractual obligations.
Until such time he’ll be getting paid the vast majority of his contract.
You don’t know what you are talking about

Has he been dismissed then? Thanks for clearing that up, I was under the impression he’s currently suspended. Hope he doesn’t do Everton for wrongful dismissal per the case you’ve used as an example
Interestingly the article also makes a case for suspension on full pay…
