There is every chance the Club has insurance to deal with payment of wages, legal advice and PR support. If not then it is also likely that there are clauses in a player’s contract which allow non-payment of salary in circumstances where the player is unable to play for a prolonged period. Finally, as long as there was some compelling evidence available to the Club that a significant crime had been committed then a dismissal could be made.
All conjecture, though, as none of us know any details - quite rightly.

I do hope you aren’t referring to post #5383 which advises you cannot do that btw.
You haven’t read the post on the website if you think you can’t do that.

They did sack him, he was found innocent and the employee did reinstate him but didn’t have to pay him for the period he was dismissed nor were they found to be in the wrong for sacking him in the first instance.

But that's the whole point of the article, you can. And the case study that is 90% of the article is a guy who was sacked from Nuttals when he was charged, even though he pleaded innocent.

You just have to investigate, not act rashly and show that suspension without pay/sacking is the only way to avoid reputational damage to the company.
