I don’t think so mate, not every loan includes this clause but think if they didn’t play X amount by Jan then they’d be able to recall them. So I think you’d have to wait until the loan is over to buy as they’ve hit the threshold

No I don’t think they were looking to, was just mentioned about him & Gallagher as they were playing well then I think The Athletic and a few others said they wouldn’t be able to if they wanted because of amount played each

We're already seeing it. How could it not have impact? One person previoulsy involved in decision making on player transfers is no longer there. Ergo those that are left making decisions have their hand strengthened.

This manager isn't going to be having any owner choose his targets for him. Whatever you think about Benitez he is his own man. Whatever player we get this window will be his player. No ifs or buts. And that is the way it should be. We needed to go back to basics and ditch that layer of BS bureacracy that failed us to great cost for 6 years.

I think that is the case.
I feel Moshiri may have realised that as well .

The signings under CA were generally successful.

So far RB has done well albeit by only spending pocket money.

I hope the owner has realised that transfers should be left to the professionals

It’s like that James Mcavoy film where he has 23 alter egos and ends up kidnapping teenagers …not sure Hamish/Keith/Chico etc will go down that route….although he might have some Newcastle/Rangers/Leicester fans in his basement..and lukaku’s uncle.

Already been mentioned that it was basically impossible to find a RWB who wouldn’t improve us offensively over O’Donnell.

Patterson has still been exposed massively defensively in his few appearances for Scotland to the point I’d be shocked if Clarke started him in the playoffs if O’Donnell is fit. (Scotland two best performances of the campaign actually came against the better teams when O’Donnell played)

And that’s even with O’Donnell looking like he’s loosing his place at Motherwell…

I've got to disagree with this.. only Paterson not getting game time would get O'Donnell a game.. even then that's previously bn the case & Paterson still got the nod ahead of O'Donnell with very little game time...far better player not even close
