Digne is just an excuse to have a go at Rafael. 1st it was James, now its Digne, for a brief period it was also Richy when people didn't believe he was actually injured.
Oh I think he gives us more than enough excuses with his bizarre selections , team shape , lack of tactics and baffling substitutions.

Benitez is the gift that keeps giving Guillame

Surely Besiktas paying the portion of his wages they would pay if they got him on a free and us making that up over the next 6 months to what he would have got here is an option?

As long as Besiktas were paying him a decent wage that was in line with Turkish contracts then that's probably the best we'd get to save a few hundred thousand. Not great but what else to expect?

I guess it depends, if Besiktas will only pay a small % of his wage, then that probably doesn’t let us go out and loan in another player to cover him going out. Tosun is probably 4th choice behind DCL, Richarlison, Dobbin for the striker position, maybe even Simms. So you could argue that we don’t need to replace him directly and that could be true, but we could do with freeing the wages up, even if it’s not for that position, so we could get maybe another midfielder. At the moment we are probably in a strong position to say, either someone buys him out of his contract or covers all his wages till the end of his contract, it’s still early in the window and anything is possible.

Im a big fan of Mason Holgate, liked him until he turned 24 and 10/12ths.

Hes a player that needs a run of games and wont get them under Benitez.

Also, as i stated in two posts now, im turning my disaproval onto the players.

We would really need 2 centre backs to go before bringing one in.

We have 5 on the books.
Admit it Zat, you will be gutted if he gets rid of Holgate and replaced him with a 32yr old grock.

See in bold...you accept we sell Digne to bring in funds to sign new players.

But you dont accept that we cant risk Digne sustaining an injury meaning he cant be sold.

He was surely only on the bench for show.

I dont expect him to get a second on the pitch.

I even gave them some 'inside info' on Keane but they chose not to post.

Jokes on them now eh lol
Zat mate, he's the one left-back we had available and he should have played.

Digne isn't injury prone. And he could have got injured doing his hamstring in the warm up for the game. The only way to ensure no injury was to leave him out of the squad altogether. Having him on the bench, then not bringing him on when our entire game plan was to lump aimless crosses in, is just ridiculous.

Inter have already said they only want a loan with no obligation. It's going to end up being Chelsea and I can guarantee you they have the stronger bargaining power atm.

Neither had much interest from other clubs and are worth relative peanuts.

Digne has a hell of a lot, he's also one of our only real chances of making a bit of money.
Yeah, and currently we will be held to ransom because our manager has the people and man management skills of a sociopath.

We're also on 19 points from 18 games and have won 2 games in 3 1/2 months.

Didn't Chesney hawks tell us we were getting him !

No, he/she (I still think it's Benitez's wife) told us that he had personally phoned him. Probably, now it will turn out that they only discussed the weather in Naples.
So, Ancelotti phones Jamez and he comes here, FSW phones Insigne and he joins the mighty Toronto instead of us. Quite a respected man, yeah...
