That’s the end of that one.

If our financial position regarding freedom to spend is as bad as reported then certainly it would not look good.

However, the possible sale of Digne and maybe others as well as the sales , loans and wage reductions last summer may have given us some wriggle room, however 40m is a very big wriggle but maybe 20m in fee plus Holgate and Kenny... would that still be out of our reach ?

The situation with Yerry Mina must be resolved as well. We simply can't afford to let him walk for free.

I don't know the answer to this, but if an agreement was already in place for the sale of Richarlison in the summer would that allow us to sign players now ?

Whether I was loyal to him or not we'd still be 15th with 1 win since September. Wouldn't make a blind bit of difference except you seem to be enjoying it and I am not.

We need a mobile defensive mid, who can pass the ball and a dominant centre half that's good in the air and is quick if possible.
