Everton January 2022 Transfer Thread

The Echo are also citing a report that originated from Italy (via Footballfancast, yup crap source) that we’re interested in Sampdoria’s Gambian CB Omar Colley, he’s 6”3 and left footed. The report says he’s just changed agent to push for a move to the Premier League. What I think is interesting though is that according to Transfermkt he has the same agent as Iddrisa Baba that we’ve also been linked to and RB apparently wanted to sign for R.Madrid. The agent also represents Koulibaly who RB signed for Napoli so perhaps there is a connection with the agent? Or it’s blah blah to generate interest.
Excellent detective work.

Absolute big fat NO.

Its one of the reasons we are in this financial mess.
We keep some players too long , give them away & loan them.
Almost every team (maybe not Manu or City ) strengthen their squad with profit on sales , Liverpool Coutinho , Chelsea Hazard , Leicester do it every year.

So No loans please.
I dont think you get what i'm saying!
We agree to sell him in the summer.....thats what obligation to buy means!

Obligation
an act or course of action to which a person is morally or legally bound; a duty or commitment.

TBF a lot of that profit might be interesting accounting, maybe not with Hazard and Coutinho but a lot of those deals (Torres for example) are very questionable.

Moshiri wants Coutinho as a high profile signing.

Rafael still wants Longstaff.
Would rather have neither. No joke I'd take Barkley over Coutinho not because I think he's a better player but he'd cost less, we've enough RS infiltration going on atm and with Countinhos injury record Barkley would prob offer about the same output for less. Longstaff I have no idea if he's good or bad, neither do the Newcastle fans. Some say he's crap others say there's a player in there. I'd rather not take the risk as our MF is full of garbage already

Obligation can have set parameters.
All sorts can go wrong there mate.
He could get injured and sent back ,now that would just be Everton that.

Never the less we're talking about the Richest club on the planet and accepting a loan....money or gtf.
