Newcastle wanted him in the summer, he turned them down.

He’s definitely not worse than longstaff and that’s the dire truth

I think there is a player there. But no player has suffered more with the managerial merry go round at the club more than Davies. You’re right he hasn’t progressed at all since those first couple of matches, but I’d still prefer him to Longstaff.

The advantage Longstaff does have is his size. He’s a lanky, ugly freak but those weird legs cover the ground quite well
