But Coleman and Digne will?

You've an entrenched view pal. I hope that YOU hope you're wrong.
I think the point is that it may not prove successful straight away, which in light of where we are is of primary concern, long term these lads are good signings if we continue our model of buy and sell on but why should we be "that" type of club? We hope to be a team that competes and dont need to sell and at the moment we are a million miles from that.

I hope the new lads can make an immediate impact or at the very least give some relief to Coleman, however, its a big ask and we should not be in a position to need a Left Back when we have a very good, if under-performing one just because he may have riled Rafael the gaffa with some opposite opinions!

Why are cheap players automatically assumed to be crap?

N'Golo Kante £5.6m
Gana Gueye £9m
They're not? The key word wasn't cheap it was because. I think his or her point was that we might be desperate to get people in but not have any money so targeting people specifically because they're cheap not because we think they're what we want or need which isn't a good idea. There are many comments in the Longstaff thread suggesting thats the case with that deal and its also the defence of why we signed Rondon so I think the point is we don't want to make a habit of doing that. If they're players we'd like to sign anyway and they just happen to be cheap then thats a good thing which goes without saying.

June 30th, 2021: A day to be long remembered...

Jonjoe Kenny
Persona Non Grata
Fabian Delph
Cenk Tosun
Asmir Begovic
Andy Lonergan

6 leeches leaving Everton Football Club never to return, I think we should hold a celebration of some sort on the forum.

These aren't mutually exclusive factors mate.

We needed a new RB. We have signed one.

We need a new CM, and I suspect we are looking actively at several. If we find one, we'll sign him. No-one in the club is going to veto it on the grounds that we have a new RB.

6th highest in the league for goals conceded. A 19 year old with 30 games in total in Scotland is somehow going to change this?

Buying another CM on the cheap from a relegation threatened side when the boss only likes playing in a 2 is again going to stop us from being 3rd from bottom on possession?
