I don't know if it's true but I've been told Iwobi is on 86k a week.
I'd guess/wager this figure is much closer to reality. There's no way one of our most expensive ever signings is on what would be the mid-to-lower level of squad salary structure. Player contracts are rarely public of course, but if it's a penny less than £86k I'd eat my hat.

You’re probably right

There are players we simply couldn’t/can’t shift on lower wages though - Tosun, Besic, Kean - I assume Niasse previously as well. It’s to do with the quality of the player as much as how much theyre on.

We're also one of the worst clubs in the league for negotiating player sales. Look across the park: something like £15m they got for Shaquiri who barely ever played, meanwhile we can't get a penny for Besic or Walcott or Bolasie or Niasse etc etc. Shocking stuff when you think about it.
