Definitely not, most of the story is behind a pay wall. But it’s starts by saying we may lose DCL and Richarlison in the future. Which is possibly true, but a 33 year old is definitely what we need to to replace these two moving forward.

Honestly the amount of crap journalists print regarding transfers is embarrassing.

Absolutely right mate, and you will be made very welcome. It ain’t gonna happen (I sincerely hope) but if it did the Championship is a fantastic league & as I said on our forum when we recently won at Coventry - I hope we don’t finish higher than 7th coz the Prem and all that goes with it would probably rip the soul out of our beloved community football club. We are very happy where we are. It is proper good old fashioned down to earth football. What’s not to like ?

What's the consensus amongst Lions fans on Rowett mate? He seems to have settled in the Championship but at one point he looked like someone who would be in the prem soon.

Last season he also was out for a month or two with an ankle injury.

I think if that happens it would be the summer, TBH I wouldn’t be over bothered, only the thing is we would be selling a younger player which I think we need to try to get more of in the team. He has proved me wrong and turned out a better player than I thought he would, but IMO he’s good but not that good not so hard to replace as Lukaku was. I think we would miss Richarlison more another who may well go in the summer. I look at it this way perhaps a clear out is needed and I like the way we are doing our business now, replacing older players with younger ones. The one I don’t want to go is Pickford he has improve a lot lately. Also DCL and Richarlison still have very good resale values which if invested rightly might well see us improve more as a team.

There's no way I see DCL and Richy here next year. Can see Richy going to PSG to play with his mate Neymar as Mbappe replacement, and DCL ticks the boxes for City, or Arsenal/Spurs who may nick a top 4 spot, or even Chelsea depending on what they do with Lukaku. That's probably at least £120m in income, but I absolutely do not trust anyone at this club to reinvest that wisely.

Rafael will want half the Newcastle team, Moshiri will want whoever Jim White or Kia Joobachin has whispered in his ear about, and Kenwright will be on the phone to Barkley. God only knows what line up we'd have.
