Will all end in tears, this manager - doesn't get on with anyone who doesn't tell him he's right all the time, he has control issues - its happened everywhere and the outcome is conflict, im surprised hes even compromised but that will be short lived. We can only hope to survive relegation and watch this unfold.
I have not generally been impressed by Benitez, but I think how he has managed this (based on the reporting) with Moshiri is good management to be fair. Finding a compromise and protecting the club from Moshiri's terrible financial decisions is a good thing, now we won't sign El Ghazi permanently unless he proves himself worth it on this loan deal.

Tbf Townsend is better than Gordon at present and the stats/goals/assists this season prove that.

I think with DCL now fit and Digne gone Townie is now our best crosser of the ball and it would be daft to leave him out the side all things considered.

The front 4 of DCL, Richarlison, Gray and Townie had us 6th in the table lets not forget before injuries struck and we collapsed.
I disagree. He takes every set piece so his numbers will be better than Gordon. Abs if you go on creating chances. What has he got a couple more goals and assists, probably played more minutes.

Over the last 5/6 games Gordon has been performing better imo. Townsend was really poor pre injury. He also constantly cuts back on to his left foot when he’s on the right.

Gordon is definitely looking more dangerous of the 2 players at this minute imo

These deals are on the weird side, perhaps they are indictive of what is wrong at Everton and recruitment, a number of different fiefdoms all feeding into recruitment, the Josh King deal last year was weird too - Ancelotti looked like he had zero interest in him.

So we potentially have our manager falling out with our best players and selling them below market vale & our owner doing a solo run on recruitment based on youtube clips given to him by his agent pal. What could go wrong.

Sad thing is we've learned absolutely nothing from the mess we've made of things.

The only hope for us for the rest of the season is trying to hoover up points and get safe - its a write off & i think we are making things worse in the window, then they were when we went into it, we're a hazard to ourselves.
