A Moyes type utility player IMO.

Jack of all trades master of none.

He does look extremely one paced to me - quite intelligent player but needs legs around him for sure.

If played the right way I could see him working well with richarlison / grey / DCL.

The worry is doucoure not being fit short term, we really need someone to fit in for him.

Have you seen how Everton do transfer business? I’d be staggered if we have anyone lined up from outside the prem with our current transfer setup.

Well, from what I can see we have 1 space in the squad, so we would possibly need somebody out if we were to do more than 1 In.

We could of course just not name somebody.

….I watched him in his early games for United and wasn’t in the least impressed (I understand the ponderous descriptors), but more lately I’ve seen something in his play in the top third that made me think he’s got something about him.

Looks like he could have creativity and goals in him. Benitez clearly wanted him yet a few of the Rafatonians don’t like the look of him. Loan with a buy option would be the way to go.

Fab said United had no interest in a buy clause.

Does anyone have the first idea how much money we realistically have left to spend?

I can’t imagine we can spend much more than £5m up front but I suppose the test could be spread across 3/4 years and therefore we could spend anything so long as the selling club accept that the majority of the money isn’t coming anytime soon
