Ultimately, I am willing to trust in Lampard’s views on transfers and hope he can be backed up by Cahill coming in with modern day business in football sense.

If he seems Barkley the best we can get with the money available and the lack of time then I am willing to go with it.
He would offer something different. Not keen on him but we lacking creativity since james left. No comparison but better than iwobi in a number 10. Well then again I am

Would love us to go for Eriksen personally. We are completely devoid of creativity in the final third Would also allow us to still bring in a loanee dm/cm
This already feels like our "everything that could go wrong..." season. There's only one way this would end.

Personally I think Brentford are crazy to be considering it. It's the most energetic and exhausting league in the world. I hope he plays again but it should be in a less demanding league.

Totally agree mate. I think it’s great that he wants to play again as it shows a desire and passion for the game that many have accused the modern day player of lacking.

That being said, I don’t have any desire to turn up to a match with a heightened prospect of seeing what happened in the euros because that was painful to watch on TV let alone being in the ground for and that’s before you even take into account what his family would have gone through.

I am sure his family will have signed off on him carrying on but do Italy have rules that are too strict or too we have rules that are too lax?

I’d imagine Barkley would be available for next to nothing now. Doesn’t really play much and hardly any clubs are interested. With us after VDB on loan the way we get Barkley would be a purchase.

I don’t remember if Lampard really rated him at Chelsea though, was it not him that sanctioned the loan to Villa? Maybe he prefers RLC
Or we could just stay away from mr nothingbehindtheeyesohandalsoarat

Exactly mate, I know if he plays it'll be signed off by very good doctors but the fact he can't legally play in certain countries is a massive red flag.

I know Brentford or whoever sign him will be doing it with good intent, but with the best will in the world every time he sets foot on a pitch fans, management and teammates are only going to be worrying about the worst.
