Are we the first to to have a manager sign a player, before he is unveiled as manager?!

I doubt it. He’s been poor and hardly gets a game now and Conte wants funds for new transfers. I can see £20m doing it.

Not saying I want him just saying I could see it happen.

Yep that sounds like something we would do. Pay over the odds for a player who has shown no form or motivation for several years and give him a big long term contract

It's Levy though and he doesn't do cut price. Always wants top dollar. Incredibly difficult to do business with.

To be fair to him, why not?

We need a bit of that hard nose mentality in our deals.

Lingard only has six months left on his contract. Despite this, United are still asking for high loan fees, and I read that they wanted Newcastle to pay a 12 million pound survival bonus should they stay in the league, and Newcastle aren’t agreeing to that at the moment.

United’s position will become weaker as the deadline approaches because they risk losing him for nothing if he doesn’t move this month. They’re acting like they will be okay with this, but I think they will change their mind as the deadline approaches.

Hopefully - and you'd think he might prefer us over Newcastle. He was obviously at West Ham before, but we should be in with a chance
