Everton January 2022 Transfer Thread

pickford
coleman, Godfrey, Mina, mykolenko
Gomes, Allan, vdb
gray, dcl, richy

Once Patterson up to speed he replaces Coleman and a healthy Doucoure replaces Gomes.

Not bad, but highlights the need for another CM (and really another CB since Mina only seems to be healthy for international breaks…)

One of the slowest midfields on the planet.

Looks like Donny van de Beek is coming in. Quality player. Unlike Schneiderlin or Michael Keane who where always going to be crap, he has real quality. Should probably of joined Real Madrid not United. Slightly disappointed as looks like there is no option to buy.

He walks into this team. Presses hard. Quality in final 3rd. Played number 10 for Ajax, but can play deeper. Would work well in a 4-3-3.

Hope nobody says he is a United reject, Lingard, Keane, Schneiderlin are rejects but not Donny.

Donny is not only good enough to play for United, but good enough to play for much better teams. He got sold down river by a fraud of a manager who plays Fred every week and a until last couple of years a German jouneyman in Rangnick.

Completely wham

No one to move out Zat, they're absolutely crap

Kenny
Holgate
Delph
Gomes
Iwobi
Rondon
Tosun

Absolute 100% garbage and you'd be a fool to take any of them on.

Exactly, for years people have been banging on about needing to move players out but we can't because most if them are dreadful and no one will want them, especially on their current deals.

Kenny -- Out of contract in summer
Holgate -- Enquiries made for him last summsr
Delph -- Out of contract last summer
Gomes -- Give him a payoff
Iwobi -- UAE
Rondon -- Contract up in 1.5 years
Tosun -- Out of contract in summer.

There are alot of players out of contract in the next 18months:

Rondon
Townsend
Coleman
Delph
Sigurdsson
Tosun
Begovic
Lonergan
Allan
Doucoure
Davies
Mina

Thats already 12 players and the only one id keep is Doucoure.

Add to those the more difficult players to move on in:

Keane
Iwobi
Gomes
Holgate
Gbamin

-- those 5 are the more difficult to shift and that should be our priority.

Your solution to squad issues is "give them a payoff".

Agree with this, if it’s only VDB before the end of the window then I think we are still massively short through the spine. I’m hopeful on 3 signings.

Now Lampard is in charge, Deli Ali on a permanent wouldn’t surprise me.
It wouldnt surprise me to see us trying for Alli at £15-20mil. His wages will be £100k+ Id expect as well.

As for the spine of the team, we could do with 3 top players at CB, DM, CM.

Numbers wise were ok everywhere else aside from a couple of options at RB, CF.

Could do with Newcastle coming in with a bid for Holgate.

If they came in for Keane i think i would cry tears of joy.

Need a sneaky dm as well

I really rate Douglas Luiz. He's one of those players that goes under the radar for a lot of opposition fans, but you generally rate if in your own side. Good on the ball, good at the defensive side - just a good player all round.

Although Arsenal have apparently had a bid turned down for him, I wouldn't rule a move out as his agent is . . . Kia Joorabchian.

Apparently Luiz is also in a relationship with former Everton Women player Alisha Lehmann, so there are just links everywhere! ?

He's class isnt he? Different player to the two I prefer in Kamara and Guimaraes...but he has experience in the premier league.

I posted yesterday that if we signed him + Antony then we would have Brazil's 3 best players from the last Olympics.

That Antony is something else.

wasn't he a huge proponent of Everton signing Sabastian Haller too?

Indeed he was. We all make mistakes on potential signings though, i was wrong on Gray for example.

Its just the constant praise of Delph, Gomes and Keane for 2.5 seasons that has become tiring.

No hes not.

Hes my current list of Everton players im a big fan of :

Demz
Dom
Rico

Everybody else is a bit pony if im honest, Pickford is alright these days I suppose.

We'd better sell them all if you rate them.
