If we can get a move for Jovic sorted before 11, that would make a cracking deadline day and window period

Don't want holgate in any position with responsibility. He'd be an absolute liability as a DM. All well and good making the tackles but he'd distribute back to the opposition 9 times out of 10.Allan could easily play dm in a three. Onyango will eventually fill that role probably and even Holgate could play there... maybe it is a role more suited to him than centre back.
For me, we have just not been creative further up the field, too predictable and we just don't look like creating chances never mind scoring.
He thinks our business has been a 'hit' in this window though (including the Lampard appointment).Paul Merson is killing all the fun of deadline day. He's awful.

Seems he's for this one:
Merson: Alli could be 'the signing of any window'
Sky Sports' Paul Merson speaking on Sky Sports News:
"Alli needs to get back to doing what he was best at doing - which is exactly what Frank Lampard was best at doing - making late runs and scoring goals.
"That's what Lampard sees in him, and he's going for him. If he can get him doing that, I think he would be the signing of any window.
"He makes great runs, times them right, he's a good finisher, he's big, he's a good athlete - he ticks every box, he's just got to get back to that. He's lost his way a little bit."
I value his opinion in the same way i value the dog poo on my shoe. Get rid as soon as possible & hope nobody catches a whif of what occurred. He thinks our business has been a 'hit' in this window though (including the Lampard appointment).
At least we've not "Spoiled the transfer window" like he said we did when we signed RichySeems he's for this one:

jesus christ, surely not
What I am glad about is at least it seems like we're going to try and get the best out of our best players who are all, right now, attackers, rather than rely on Keane and Godfrey and Holgate (if he stays) to try and keep clean sheets. This is the maddest January window we've ever had in my lifetime.
