Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Also the price because of his name can see him costing alot more than he is worth, id like to take a chance on lads like him earlier. But becomes of a risk unless really standing out in that league
Sunderland did well in picking him up early for £3.5m, knowing that his profile will add £5m on any dort of valuation they have for him.

Dont get me wrong, he is a talent in his own right, but talk of £30m is very high

Would/could be spent far better than a couple of 18 year olds

How would you spend that amount?

Be a good footing for coming back up from the championship that.

You’re mental sometimes 😂😂😂.

I'd suggest im not the mental one if you think Everton gets relegated.

What would you do with Harrison Armstrong if we bought Rigg?

We have a talented 17 year old in that position already

To my knowledge Rigg has played an equal amount at 10 and 8 this season, Armstrong 6 and less at 10.

The idea is for these types of hungry young players to gradually push the starters out of the team and make the position their own.

I appreciate that its highly unlikely we sign them but if they became England starters along with Armstrong and Branthwaite I'd expect we'd be in a highly desirable position dont you? Clearly we cant sign players like that, we need to grow and develop them.

Doesent necessarily have to be proven, but do agree with that age demographic would be mental. You look at how hard the likes of Summerville & Clarke have found the step up to the Premier League and you do wonder why teams keep falling for the 'talent in the championship' stuff
Too early to judge whether Clarke and Summerville are good signings or not

I’ll admit I haven’t paid close enough attention to him to say either or but when I’ve seen him he’s been decent, not a shade on his brother though.
I agree I think he's a good player. 3 goals and 3 assists in 18 starts is not bad for a teenager. Basically 1 goal involvement every 3 games.

Not bad for a teenager playing in the championship.
There wasn't anywhere were i mentioned that he was doing bad

Do you think that can translate to the cutthroat nature of the Premier League?

Everton want to sign Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof in the upcoming transfer window, according to CaughtOffside.

The news outlet reports [16 December] that the Toffees are interested in the centre-back, who the Red Devils value at around £6.5 million.
If the Friedkin’s do that we know we are in for another rough ride.

80 million on whilst fighting relegation?

Give your head a wobble.

Jude has somehow lived up to the colossal hype. What a player he is. On Jobe, Palace tried hard to sign him last summer but he chose to stay in Sunderland and keep player first team - good for him, seems to be paying off, his stock has only gone up
