Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

He was being assisted by one of the best/creative number 10’s in the world

His finishing is poor so even if he did score 15 a season …. Any competent prem stoker would have scored more … he’s cack … just accept it

Why have no other players scored 15 goals for us in the last 6 or 7 years then? Or anywhere close (Richie aside).

My understanding is that we can’t buy anyone until we’ve sold a couple, not from OpEx/Cashflow perspective but for this years PSR. We’ll be right on the line for June as it is.
Is some room but correct that a sale would help like dcl/beto, still at the end of the season can see a big sale just becuase of the work needed to be done. .
How can this be? Surely the expensive windows are well out of our 3year window, and we are +£80M up from our last 4-5 windows at least.
Still paid high interests back again have still been loosing alot of money before the takeover and restructuring the loans

Barely any room considering what players cost now, must be <10m to work with? At best?

Armstrong rumours as well.

We never even replaced Grey for pace on the wing if you think about it. Yes I get the financial constraints but it's pitiful recruitment especially for a team that relies on counter attacks, pave gets you up the field and more chances. Harrison and Lindstrom are not even right wingers let alone ones with pace and you can find players with pace even on a budget. Forest only spent 20m on Elanga and Odoi.

Elanga turned a move to Everton down. Odoi was high risk.

There has not only been no money, theres been negative money

Not saying free to spend probelm was moshiri also did not want to out any money in to pay deals upfront and had little to use. , talj has already been on the lad in france diarra and have also had some on fellows at west brom. Agree that a sale would help this window and we will have to be creative with deals

So we didn't spend on Chermiti, Beto and O'Brien?(I get they were on low downpayments but still) Sorry there are better options than loaning players who don't even play on the right wing. This failure goes back seasons too....

Elanga turned us down due to our manager. Also we have targetted wingers like Gnonto and Philogene and whilst I agree financials were a big factor in not securing them when we didn't succeed we turned to the wrong profile on a panic loan. Other clubs manage it and whilst I get the financial constraints I am talking four or five seasons here there must have been options for pace in that time... the excuses for poor recruitment need to end very soon the same with the manager and results.

Torino have tightened contacts with Everton to sign Beto in the January transfer window, according to Tuttosport.

The news outlet reports (31 December) that the Serie A outfit are working on a deal as the Toffees seek a £13million obligation in a potential loan offer.

As for the striker, he has already said yes to the possible transfer after being dissatisfied with his lack of minutes at the Merseyside outfit.

The Guinean’s camp have asked the Blues to sanction his exit in the winter window.

Barely spent a penny up front on the three mentioned.

Nobody agrees to those sort of deals.

Lindstrom Napoli just wanted him out the door and Harrison we had at least seen him and there was no loan fee involved.

People don’t realise just had bad finances have been.
