Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Elanga turned us down due to our manager. Also we have targetted wingers like Gnonto and Philogene and whilst I agree financials were a big issue in securing them when we didn't succeed we turned to the wrong profile on a panic loan. Other clubs manage it and whilst I get the financial constraints I am talking four or five seasons here there must have been options for pace in that time...

Its a loan, a free gamble aside from wages.

Tbh who was really bothered about Harrison / Lindstrom on loan...

Now time has passed id bin off Harrison if possible but Lindstrom is improving and looked decent when patterson came on imo

Torino have tightened contacts with Everton to sign Beto in the January transfer window, according to Tuttosport.

The news outlet reports (31 December) that the Serie A outfit are working on a deal as the Toffees seek a £13million obligation in a potential loan offer.

As for the striker, he has already said yes to the possible transfer after being dissatisfied with his lack of minutes at the Merseyside outfit.

The Guinean’s camp have asked the Blues to sanction his exit in the winter window.

To just add to this...its been rumoured that (converted approx from euros):

The loan fee has a range but the average price is £3mil and the obligation at £13mil takes the overall fee to £16mil.

This is around the breakeven for him at book value.

That link up was the only slight glimmer of hope in a pile of turd. Guarantee they don’t start together again, Young starts - nailed on.

I don't mind Lindstrom but not convinced right wing is his position. And if it is he needs a run of starts in this league to adapt, not sure he gets them under Scotch egg

Hopefully can get more from them would be good get even a small profit, also read we have a % if robinson from fulham gets sold wont be massive but everything helps

I think £16mil would be fine. The additional funds we spent on him would effectively he an 18month loab fee. Worth it due to the risk of DCL getting injured last season.

Doubt it very much it was the manager...ultimately is the job of the dof to recruit and convince those players to join. Yes sometimes the manager gets involved, but ultimately is down to the dof.

Agree it’s down to the DOF mate but, I would imagine a player would look at who the manager of X club was and that would play a part in their decision.

If we broke even from Beto then it would be a no brainer to let him go.

He's been here 18 months and I can't see anything changing to see it where he becomes a success here.

Apparently he turned us down due to our negative style. Utd also didn’t think he would benefit as things where pretty negative overall with the protests against the board if I remember right
