Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

LB is our highest priority imo
Myko off form and his back up is a right footed 40yo ex winger that is needed on the other side ATM
We have almost an entire team, manager, and the dof who all have contracts coming to an end this season. But if you talk about the season itself, we are all right with Myko and Young subbing in (even McNeil can play there). We just don't have any semblance of quality in the RW and it is hurting our performance even within the constrained confines of our manager's capabilities.

This thread is funny.

Every window posters crying about LINKS to players, which may or may not even be true.

Complaining about not being LINKED to unknown players (we have been) and also complaining about not being LINKED to good players (we have been)....or LINKED to good young known and unknown players (we have been).

Let's lose our mind over a player we where never even in for.

It's an accumulation of the manager situation boiling over, feeling of the owners not working fast enough and just feeling like we have stood still instead of taken leaps forward under new ownership.

I'm trying hard to not write TFG off but it does sometimes feel like we have Moshiri still here with how little is going on 'in public viewing'.

Dan Friedkin is phoning in to Jim White's show in about an hour...

It’s so frustrating. We need a left back and a right winger. Other clubs in the relegation mix have players lined up and sign them in the first few days in January. Here we are (again) just being linked with players who can’t get in the teams of other Premier League sides.
Do we have any scouts outside of England? When did we last buy a player from South America? It feels like the whole recruitment side of the club is just on its arse. No ideas, no excitement, no rabbits out of the hat. It’s as grim as watching the team play football.
Last one i can think of leandro rodriquez, then scouts outside england get us beto, chermiti, lindstrom at a push n'diaye and mangala

story here about Habib Diarra at strasbourg, looks like a Attacking Central Midfielder, only 21, believed to be available for around £16m, the story mentions that if we sign him it will pave the way for Doucoure to go to Roma. That is an interesting twist, because accounting wise, if we sold Doucoure for a similar fee of around £16m (he has 6 months left on his contract), we could spend a fair bit in this window as the cost for players bought is always spread over the contract, but you can account for any money received for player sales in full straight away.

0% chance Dyche sanctions a sale for Doucoure, he is his gold standard for ineffective football. Nailed on to be offered a contract extension.

Looks decent him.
Forest linked now

No chance Dyche is sanctioning the sale of anyone. We barely have enough players to put a team out.

Whether the board sanction it is a different matter.
