Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Ipswich are going to finish above us. With Dyche and his tactics stinking the place out we're always going to lose out to teams who play without fear.

It's a good thing a number of people dismissed them out of hand just a few weeks ago as though they were guaranteed to finish above us. They may well go down and concede too many goals, but they have a progressive coach who works on trying to win games and recently they've shown a good deal more than we have.

The only team I'm confident we can say we're better than, overall, is Southampton. And they beat us twice.

In fairness mate, I think we have got 6 points, against harder teams.

Our issue is whether we can pick up more from some easier fixtures.
Debatable about harder games. Ipswich have played Arsenal, chelsea, bournemouth, wolves like we did. (They got 6 points from those fixtures, we got 5).

They also played Newcastle and Fulham. In terms of form you can quite easily swap out Newcastle for Forest for our game.

Only real difference is Fulham or Man City.

Yeah as much as I wanted him, 21m is STEEP. Wonder what RW we’ll go back in for now?

Nuamah maybe, but had the feeling that was an opportunistic/desperation on deadline day thing rather than him being someone we really wanted

Someone with few goals and assists, prefers to play left side and has the pace of a slightly disturbed hedgehog.

Its worrying as they look much better than us right now but if we change the manager and make additions we should be ok. But it needs to happen this month. I also wouldn't write off Wolves dropping

Jesper Lindstrom with stepovers. Ipswich are welcome to him and he's welcome to the half a season premier league gig up try to get himself a move elsewhere.
