Thinking of comparisons to previous youth players, I'd say Tom Davies would be the closest. Young midfielder who got on the ball, always looking to move it forward and be positive.

It's important that the club have learnt from the mistakes that were made in handling Davies. If so, Armstrong may have a chance.

The only mistake with Davies was giving him 150 games.

Anyone know of any left backs we could potentially be looking at? Was having a nosy at Josh Doig who’s playing for Sassuolo in Serie B. Unsure if he’ll be much of an upgrade on Mykolenko but is a lot more attacking. Just seems to fit the bill for what we’re looking for (British, 22 and affordable).

Yes, it's true, because they didn't value Branthwaite at the level we did. As I said, it would be a danger to buy big expecting his sale in June to cover and protect us from PSR regs.

Worrying about PSR? if we don't invest who's to say we won't go down? that would mean a huge loss for the club?

What's happened to the naming rights of the new stadium, wasn't that supposedly to be completed, with big companies mooted like Toyota for example, I am sure if true that would certainly dispel the PSR issue?

The naming rights, if completed, could be the solution to this season's spending. I agree that we need to strengthen but we need to get our finances in order too or we'll be left with a points deduction or our best outfield player leaving for significantly under value. It's a fine balancing act.

Absolutely loves it in Italy so think he’ll stay out there. Motta was wanting to take him wherever he went but done his ACL. Talk inter are trying to get him this window.

If there's a naming rights agreement with a company for the stadium done already it's probably just a verbal agreement until PL football is guaranteed next season
