Haha if reports of bringing Nuamah in are true he adds some speed to the team. I just think JWP brings something we don't currently have and would work well with Ndiaye.

Mangala and Tim could add a bit of urgency behind him and Patterson is no slouch.

Ya absolutely head scratching hearing some here thinking that getting relegated wouldn't be that bad FFS, it would have been a disaster for us. They are just looking too much at Villa who it worked out ok for them but that's an extremely rare example. Plus they weren't a basketcase like we have been.

To be fair I don't even rate McNeil, but he can take a dead ball. JWP is a great player, but there is a reason both West Ham & Forest won't play him. I could imagine he would be great in another league like Italy.
 
If it’s three players from Freidkins I’d go 2 wide attackers with pace. We could then move one of McNeil/Ndiaye Lindstrom into 10.

Then add a midfielder with pace who can look after the ball behind them to partner Garner/Mangala.

If we got those signings right we’d be fine.

No. No pace whatsoever. Takes a good set-piece and we already have an average player who gets in the team for his ability to do that.

We actually have good players in his position: Gana, Mangala, Garner and (even though he is slightly more attacking) Iroegbunam.

Plus Doucoure but he is utter toilet.

That’s what really concerns me about him. He has never valued pace and it is such a key ingredient of being a successful, modern PL team.
