Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

He definitely would come here mate, especially giving the fact Harrison is only on loan.

Also you're forgetting he'd been playing PL football in a soon to be brand new stadium coupled with an almost certain increase in wages.

I think walk over broken glass to come here.
Nobody is walking over broken glass too play for Dyche mate, maybe this happens in the summer I can see that tbh, we will have to see.

Saw a few of the fan sties saying over the weekend that we've been scouting Tom Fellows again (don't know how true that is) , this is the type of broad base investment id be hoping to make in Jan.

Players we have scouted, with big potential for the future, we could develop, but may not ready for the first team straight away - maybe 15 -20 mins of the bench as they develop and adjust and compete for a shirt.

Tom Fellows is not going to come here and sit on the bench behind Jack Harrison mate, if that's what we are offering then he is better off staying where he is.

How good is Fellows now & how high is his ceiling?

I try to avoid mentioning him tbh as I don't really rate him, I know Thelwell seems to like him. Id like us to look at someone like Zhegrova (the video I posted the other day) someone who is more a right sided version of Ndiaye than an out and out wide player. It will also depend on who the manager is, they may want too play a bit more narrow so will want a more Ndiaye type or they may want to move him in the middle and play with pace merchants on both sides. We will have to wait and see on that score. I also think young Omari Benjamin is pushing hard for some first team mins, 9 goals and 2 assists, Id like to see him at least get a chance in the second half of the season if he keeps his numbers up.

Where would you give Benjamin minutes?

I think that his numbers look good and with Chermiti & Broja hopefully we may have a 'new wave' of forwards for the second half of the season...and others pushing behind them too.

Fair points mate - i know we had a sniff around a deal for Gnonto in the summer, but i also noticed he was down the list, we went for Philly before him.

All on board on Benjimen you'd hope he would begin training with the first team - not sure if he is or not.

I dont know if we can clearly say who was 1st or 5th choice...we dont know about conversations and verbals...only when the media came out with info

Was links to fellows before he sitned his contract at west brom, sure we have a west brom fan who posts in here who could tell us more about him. Cn see us going for gnonto again because thelwell does seem to stick to his targets of players. Also think benjamin is most likely abit away from the first team, but would have prefered him over two gk. his next progression is prob go out and get first team games instead of u21

Zat you should have your player posting privileges revoked considering you didn't rate and wrote off Ndiaye when he was linked lol. Just no coming back from that I'm afraid.

Yeah that is looking more and more daft isnt it...it will be interesting to see how he does under a manager who has some plan of attack.

To counter, I was positive on Iroegbunam and 'excited' about O'Brien and the jury is out on those two for the time being :)

That’s a lot of players leaving unless extended.

If he will sign anything, we will extend DCL. Even with a new owner, we will not have the cash to throw at a striker when we are replacing so many players.

Gana probably gets extended.

I don’t think we will replace Myko either.

I think we invest heavily at first team RB and CM, with some investment at a right sided attacking midfielder.

I’m not sure Lindstrom has shown he’s worth the purchase clause.

Summary: any investment from TFG has to be spread to cover a LOT of warm bodies.

This the lad at WBA ? I'm pretty sure that I've never seen him play. Is he any good ?

I genuinely think Fellows is no worse than Tyler Dibling who everyone seems to be going mad about. As for Benjamin he has got to be worth minutes when Harrison is having a stinker (which is a fair bit) just give him 15 mins from the end of a game against a few of the lower teams first and lets see what he can do.

Thought Benjamin was a CF, or at least for Arsenal?

Dibling is only 18 so 3 years younger than Fellows and starting premier league games so i imagine if you're seeing them around the same level -- one has more upside?
